Char-Broil tells me this is Normal Listen to this Grill Designer Series M#463420508 This is in responce to part 1 Ok, You have read all the CRAP and Ex cusses that came with the 2 videos. Here is the TRUTH of what was wrong with the grill. It is FIXED and working the way it should. After talking to the people at CharBroil and yelling back and forth over the phone about that’s the way it should be. This is normal. Me telling them I could stick my finger inside the regulator and touch the diaphragm and move it around. The girl on the phone said that was normal too! THEM treating me like TOTAL CRAP and talking to me like I was lying or making this up. We had another problem with the grill. The O-Ring on the regulator slipped out of position. So now I have my wife call LOL. She explains the problem and they are trying to tell her how to fix it! A WOMEN WHO KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT A GAS GRILL! Imagine that? They finally send a replacement part out for her. GUESS WHAT? they send a whole new regulator! I look at it and remember I told the girl I could touch the diaphragm with my finger? Well it had a cap about the size of a quarter missing and was suppose to be sealed! NOW THATS REAL SAFE! She told me it was suppose to be like this! Could you imagine if a bug got caught between the diaphragm and it leaked gas and blew up! I put the new regulator on and its quiet as a mouse now! I GUESS THAT WAS NOT THE WAY IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE! I am not STUPID! I knew that from the start!

Guys, i have a gas grill which cooks using infra red energy. (Char broil red, model# 463250210, 2 burner). But the problem is I cant control the temperature, even though the manual says I can, if I leave the lid closed, the temperature rises to 350F no matter if i set it on the lowest settings.I am trying to bar b q some pork ribs at 225-250, but I cant maintain this temperature unless i keep the lid open. is this normal on gas grills or is this particular model?
Any tips ??????????????? Do you guys leave the lid open on gas grills for bar -b q?

Weber grills are great quality, but honestly, they seem over priced to me. The recipes in the Weber books seem more exotic and complicated. Really aimed towards the higher end of the market in terms of equipment and recipes.

Char-Broil grills look like good quality, but aimed more for the value minded. The recipes in their books seem less exotic, simpler, yet tasty. More geared for the every man.
